O\u00f9 se trouve la fronti\u00e8re s\u00e9mantique de ces deux termes : le fruit et le l\u00e9gume.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Les fruits et les l\u00e9gumes appartiennent \u00e0 deux mondes diff\u00e9rents.<\/strong><br \/>\nQuand les fruits se retrouvent dans les ouvrages de botanique et se cueillent dans des vergers, les l\u00e9gumes prennent place dans des livres de gastronomie et se ramassent dans des potagers.<br \/>\nLes biologistes d\u00e9signent le fruit comme \u00a0\u00bb organe v\u00e9g\u00e9tal prot\u00e9geant la graine* \u00a0\u00bb et y classifient ainsi les noix, les p\u00eaches, les haricots verts et les avocats.<br \/>\nPlus difficile \u00e0 classer, les fraises ou ananas sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme des \u00ab\u00a0faux fruits\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0fruits fleurs\u00a0\u00bb.<br \/>\nEn cuisine, nous retrouvons le terme culinaire \u00ab\u00a0l\u00e9gume\u00a0\u00bb servant \u00e0 d\u00e9signer la partie comestible, telle la racine, le bulbe, la feuille, le fruit ou la graine d&rsquo;une plante cultiv\u00e9e qui sera cuisin\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00ab\u00a0sal\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb. Complexe ! La s\u00e9mantique associ\u00e9e \u00e0 ces termes et la fonction de chacun rend parfois les \u00e9changes compliqu\u00e9s. Pour exemple, une aubergine ou une tomate est un l\u00e9gume &#8230; pour un cuisinier mais reste un fruit pour un botaniste.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vous avez compris ?<\/strong><br \/>\nLa fraise n&rsquo;est pas un fruit.<br \/>\nL&rsquo;olive, l&rsquo;aubergine, le haricot, le poivre, la tomate, la gousse de vanille ou encore le piment sont des fruits !
