Novembre, d\u00e9cembre, janvier, f\u00e9vrier ! Profitez de la grenade.\u2028 Pour se r\u00e9galer, choisir des grenades avec une teinte de peau allant du brun\/orange au rouge, mais surtout choisir des fruits lourds, garants de jutosit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La grenade,\u00a0du latin malum\u00a0granatum qui signifie \u00ab\u00a0fruit \u00e0 petits grains\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>, est un fruit m\u00e9connu avec un go\u00fbt \u00e0 la fois sucr\u00e9 et acidul\u00e9. Il est domestiqu\u00e9 depuis 5 \u00e0 6000 ans. Ses graines pulpeuses (arilles) et son jus sont riches en antioxydants. On lui pr\u00eate des vertus sur la sant\u00e9 cardiovasculaire (diminution des l\u00e9sions d\u2019ath\u00e9roscl\u00e9rose), les cellules canc\u00e9reuses (surtout prostate, colon et seins), certains troubles neurologiques et une diminution de la pression sanguine chez des sujets souffrant d\u2019hypertension.<\/p>\n<p>Mais avant tout la grenade est un fruit peu calorique avec<strong> un indice glyc\u00e9mique de seulement 30<\/strong>. Les membranes jaunes, am\u00e8res, sont tr\u00e8s riches en antioxydants, donc bon courage a ceux qui veulent augmenter leur taux d&rsquo;antioxydants. Les fruits, sous leur peau en forme de coque, se conservent longtemps, une dizaine de jours sans probl\u00e8me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pour rappel, les sirops de grenadine du commerce ne sont pas des sirops \u00e0 base de jus de grenade<\/strong>, mais des m\u00e9langes de fruits rouges. Attention aussi aux jus de grenade qui ne contiennent que peu de jus, coup\u00e9s avec de l&rsquo;eau et beaucoup de sucre ou de ma\u00efs.<\/p>\n<p>Enfant de la m\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, j&rsquo;ai grandi avec ce fruit. J&rsquo;en mange des quantit\u00e9s astronomiques chaque ann\u00e9e. Les fruits d&rsquo;aujourd&rsquo;hui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s pour ne plus tacher les doigts (les arilles sont blancs), mais autrefois, ce colorant \u00e9tait tellement puissant que l&rsquo;on pouvait s&rsquo;en servir d&rsquo;encre rouge. En cherchant bien, on trouve encore ce genre de grenade tr\u00e8s rouge. Elles me plaisent, car elles tachent. Elles tachent, car l&rsquo;homme ne s&rsquo;est pas m\u00eal\u00e9 de la nature, une fois de plus.
